Time's Up: Hollywood women launch campaign to fight sexual harassment.

With the support of over 300 Hollywood actors, writers, directors, producers, entertainment executives and agents the “Time’s Up” also includes a $13m defence fund to enable less privileged professional women to protect themselves from sexual misconduct and the fall out from reporting. Time’s Up started in Los Angles with meetings of female talent agents after the exposure of Harvey Weinstein and others, the group quickly grew to include meetings and workshops in New York and London. Initially the movements focused on show business and media but broadened this to include working class women after they received an open letter sent on behalf of 700,000 farm workers. The organization also seek to promote the introduction to penalize companies that tolerate harassment and prevent the use of non disclosure contracts to sexual abusers. Time’s Up is also asking all women walking the red carpet at this years Golden globe awards to wear black as a show of solidarity.
